Safe exercise of the abdominal muscles with EMS Training

During electrical stimulation (global and active, rather than localized and passive), we follow several muscle-strengthening postures by voluntarily contracting the muscles. Electrical stimulation enhances contraction and helps recruit deep muscle fibers.
For example, in a series of 8 sequences of the same postures, we successfully worked the entire abdominal core, including the lateral and large back muscles. There was no vibration, no joint stress, no organ stress, and no bending or rotation of the back.

Abdominal: Avoiding Danger with EMS Training

Sit-ups
Sit-ups put a very high amount of pressure on the discs. This pressure happens to be greater than squatting 200+ pounds deep without weights! Thus causing the spine to curve.
When this is combined (often) with poor daily posture (e.g. at work), we increase the risk of herniated discs, low back pain and sciatica in the long run.
Russian Twist.
Russian twists cause flexion (just like in sit-ups) as well as rotation of the lumbar spine, which can lead to shearing of the fibers of the disc annulus. This exercise increases the risk 2-fold, in addition to causing injury to the lower back.


Sit-ups
Sit-ups may be the worst exercise for your body. As Dr. Bernadette de Gasquet says in her book, "Abdominals: stop the carnage."
Crunches go against our natural posture: the spine curves for a reason. This exercise exacerbates postural imbalances in people with low natural arches.
It's even more dangerous for women! The pressure exerted by this exercise promotes the descent of the organs, thus weakening the perineal muscles, which increases the risk of urinary incontinence (incontinence), especially after childbirth.
